Does it make sense to backport such changes to the 2.4 branch?
I am asking because I recently uploaded a Debian package for Gnucash
with enabled Python bindings. Another Debian Developer reported parallel
builds to fail with Python bindings enabled, so this could be of help in
the stable branch too...
