I tend to disagree with this.  It is quite different from the old 
register with regard to data entry.  In some ways it is better and in 
some ways it is worse (and not everyone will agree on which is which), 
but it is different.  For example, many of the keyboard navigation keys 
(the arrow keys, tab, return, enter, etc) work differently in subtle, 
or not so subtle, ways.  Having gotten used to the way the old register 
works, I find it much harder to enter data in the new register, but in 
time I may like it better.
