Yes, I think we should do a final 2.4 release at the same time we do 2.6, and yes we should backport the libxml workaround.
BTW, I don't do special Mac releases unless I've messed up a bundle or someone finds a serious problem in Gtk-quartz. In either
case I'll still use the latest released Gnucash tarball and just change the trailing version number on the dmg, e.g. Gnucash-Intel-2.4.13-2.dmg.
