Patch for Advanced portfolio report

There is a patch waiting in bugzilla for the advanced portfolio report. 
I haven't committed it yet because I don't know if the patch fixes the 
described problem correctly or not. I never use this report.

Can someone who does use this report please comment on the bug whether 
or not the patch is ok ? Thanks.
