Hi Alex,
Yes I eventually got past this - didn't I report this on IRC as well ?
Anyway, on Fedora you need to install the python-test package.
I have also created a bugreport[1] against gnucash for this. It should check for the presence
of the _testcapi if python bindings are enabled.
