You could try to use another theme for gtk applications within kde. On Fedora I can change this
via
System Settings -> Application Appearance -> Gtk+ appearance.
Just for the record, my KDE-Gtk+ theme is oxygen-gtk as well. On Fedora 20 this seems to
work without a hitch.
