OK.

Yes, the patch on https://public.kitware.com/Bug/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=3957 <https://public.kitware.com/Bug/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=3957> indicates that using  configure_file() to copy POTFILES.in.in to POTFILES.in is the right solution.
