Pepermint 10 is based on ubuntu 18.04 so it sounds like there shouldn't be the problem.  I'm off to locate source files.

The problems building in Linux Mint 20 related to the version of the libmysqlclient21 library which was present in both
the ubuntu 20.04 and Linux Mint 20 releases by default. If the version of  Peppermint is based on the same Ubuntu
release it may be subject to the same problem. I fixed it as described in a post in that thread by downgrading the above
library to a slightly earlier version. If Peppermint is based on the same ubuntu release, the same fix should work as it
likely uses the same ubuntu repository.
