[GNC-dev] How to start fresh

Hi all,

I set up Gnucash as best possible by extracting what I could from my crashed Quicken, and many Excel spreadsheets. And 6 months of work.
I got all the info in, but not working properly.
I want to start fresh, almost.
I have created clean CSV files for the AR and AP; and transaction files to fill in the bank ledgers.
What I need is to clean Gnucash of everything Except the account tree, vendor and customer database.
(The exported version of vendor and customer data leaves out everything but name and ID.)

Any ideas on how to do this, or how to not need to do this are appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

Frank,
I think those dummy entries can be removed, they were default entries in list stores so maybe in the past glade list stores needed them but I do not think so now but will check.

As for 'Type', in dialog-commodity.glade it is used twice which could be changed to 'N_amespace' and also change existing entry in dialog-price.glade to match so accelerator keys do not conflict. The second dialog is used when in the account tree and create a 'New Account' with 'Account Type' of 'Stock' and presses the 'Select...' button on 'Security/currency'.

Regards,
Bob
