Any USAA OFX download news or updates within GNUCash?

I am a new GNUCash user, not a developer. I was hoping to move away from a
very old version of Quicken (with disabled connected services) to GNUCash
but it appears that direct downloads via OFX does not work properly between
USAA and GNUCash. At least that's the information I found searching on
reddit and searching the gnucash-devel archives. The last post I was able
to find in the email archives was from 2021. :(

I also tried to add my USAA account info via the AQBanking Wizard but since
ofxhome.com has been sunset, it doesn't even find USAA in the list and I
have no idea what to enter in all the fields to set it up manually.

Is there any chance this will start working properly in the near future? Is
anyone aware of any active development on this particular bank connection
and GNUCash?

Please don't reply 'change banks'... LOL
