here is another patch from Jan Petersen.

Changes:
      * Cleanup build system.
      * Port register to GNOME 2.
      * Rename GNCTreeModel to GncTreeModel.
      * Port commodities, tax-dialog, fincalc dialogs to GNOME 2.
      * Add window type to the ui plugin system and update plugins.
      * Add icon to the about dialog.
      * Fix window type of splash screen.
      * Add support for startup-notification.
