OK, assuming I don't misplace this email.

the boundary between transaction begin/end edits and account edits 
is somewhat vague and squirmy, I was planning on giving that some real
thought if/when I get around to the backend work.  writing/re-writing
the backend should clarify a lot of these funky issues.

In the mean time, I'm trying to tread lightly, and minimize changes 
of anything that I'm not yet certain about ... I've got some ideas
baking ...
