When you get a paycheck, you only create one transaction, not two.
You can use the transfer dialog as you did below. That will create
the transaction:
> 11/30/2000 Test 1 Income 100 200
> Test 2 Checking 100
This is what you want. Your income has gone up by 100 and your checking
has gone up by 100.
