Install oddity?

I finally got gnucash installed and working on my machine, after
many fits and starts. (I installed and built it from RPMs).

Anyway, now that I have it, my lpd no longer works. When I
try to print something, I get:

    [andyw@discipline andyw]$ lpr speakeasy.txt
    lpr: error while loading shared libraries: lpr: undefined symbol: stat          

I don't know that the install of gnucash is the culprit, but it's the most
likely candidate at the moment. Anyone see anything like this? Or have
any ideas? RedHat7.0, upgraded to the 2.2.17-14 kernel.
