Installationtrouble on RH6.2

Trying to do ./configure on a standard Red-Hat 6.2, with current updates
gives:
---
checking gtk-xmhtml/gtk-xmhtml.h... configure: error: Cannot find
gtk-xmhtml.h.  See the README for more info.

But a locate says:
/usr/include/gtk-xmhtml/gtk-xmhtml.h
---
I didnt want to use the .i386.rpm due to unwanted dependencies updates.
Any pointers will be much appreciated.
Also I tried browsing through the list-archives but didnt find anything
diretly relevant.
