As gnucash-user list admin, I received this message today. Apparently
some mail filter called "MailMarshal" considers *any* encrypted content
to potentially harbor virii or other malware, including PGP/GPG
signatures on messages, and rejects the messages.
This will be my only message on the subject. I consider MailMarshal to
be completely broken if it rejects message signatures. However, it's
not in my control to alter its behavior. Please be aware that if you
have anything in your message that a braindead filter might think was
encrypted content, it may not reach some subset of the gnucash-user
subscribers.
I'll cc this message to the administrator of the site that rejected the
message but if they don't change the behavior of the filter I'm not
going to fight them. Tried that once with a pr0n filter that rejected
any message with "XXX" in the body and just gave myself headaches and
got my wife cranky.
By the way, this message probably won't get by either that broken porn
filter or the crypto filter, so the admin of the filter might not even
see it. Somebody Else's Problem. Does that make me a viral
pornographer? Can I put that on my resume?
Grrrrr.
Thanks
