slibcat permissions (was no subject)

The error messages when gnucash begins (RH7.1+GNOME1.4+sawfish):

    ERROR: In procedure open-file:
    ERROR: Permission denied: "/usr/share/guile/1.4/slibcat"
    gnucash: [W] "failure loading ""/usr/share/gnucash/scm/c-interface.scm"
...

Dave, suggestion much appreciated. But where is slibcat? I've got
/usr/share/guile/1.4/slib directory, but can't find slibcat.
