I know this is an issue for you. But, however, the solutions given to the
installation problems happen to work also on /usr/lib/libqt*. In my case
also the Qt libs are affected and thus kde.

Sorry, before compiling I am used to do a make clean. The make clean for the
gnucash dir did not enter in the notes expplicitly but should be there.
