Error Importing Quicken QIF file

Hi there,

I recently started trying the gnucash problem.  When I was trying to import a 
quicken qif file, the program crashed and gave the following error message:

Error: xaccSplitRebalance: no common split currencies
Error: xaccSplitRebalance: 	account=Retained Earnings currency=USD security=
Error: xaccSplitRebalance: 	account=CDN Securities-Cash currency=CAD security=
gnucash: Transaction.c:956: xaccSplitRebalance: Assertion `0' failed.
Aborted

What does no common split currencies mean?
