Hi,
I've been trying for a couple of days now to install gnucash 1.6.x from
source. After upgrading to Gnome 1.4, and installing all of the other
dependencies (including slib), I've gotten both 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 to compile,
but neither runs. The only way I can get it to compile is with
./configure --disable-prefer-db1 --disable-libguppitest
and commenting out the popt test in configure.
After 'make check' and 'make install', gnucash dies in a busywait on startup.
$ gnucash --loglevel 6
Enter: gnucash_ui_init:
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0
^C
Any ideas here? This is gtk version 1.2.8.
Thanks,
Z.
