Problem with dependices

I am trying to upgrade to GNUCash 1.60-1 and I have run into a circular=20
problem. I am down to three files that need to be installed pyhon,=20
python-devel and tkinter. I got all of these from Mandrake cooker (I am=20
running Mandrake 8.0).=20

The first thing that I did was try to install python but I got this error=
:
[root@Alannon tmp]# rpm -ivh python-2.1-2mdk.i586.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        tkinter < 2.1 conflicts with python-2.1-2mdk

I figured that I needed to install tkinter first. When I tried that I got=
=20
the following error:
[root@Alannon tmp]# rpm -ivh tkinter-2.1-2mdk.i586.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        python =3D 2.1-2mdk is needed by tkinter-2.1-2mdk

Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this?
