Data backup

Seems I am having a conversation with myself here .... hopefully it is of
some value to other people.

Anyway, I DID FIND my main file witrh all the data intact after all !!!!!
YEAH !!!!! Seems that when I dumped all the deleted inodes to files (3200 of
them) I made a tactical error - the first thing I did was to cull all files
that couldn't possibly be data files. In my case those were files with a
picture icon, html icon and source file icon under Konqueror. All the
remaining files were searched for some key words (and a number of relevant
files were found)
Well, it seems that Konqueror thinks that the main files are of an html type
and I never scanned those for any key words since they were the first to go.
A re-scan of all the files finally found the data file.

I would still like to hear about reading log files into GnuCash .....

Thanks for all the help guys !

Jens
