Fatal error in gnucash 1.6.0

I'm trying to register GnuCash 1.6.0 however I get the
following error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pg_connect() in
/var/www/gnc-network-pub/gnc-network-funcs.php on line 14

I get the first screen ok and enter my details, then I get a
confirmation
screen shwing me the details I hit "confirm" and the above error occurs.

Any ideas ?
