Newbie question about gnc-prices

I just started playing around with GnuCash-1-4-10 that I installed
from the RPM files:

gnucash-1.4.10-1.i386.rpm,
gtkhtml-0.4-1.i386.rpm, and
gtkhtml-devel-0.4-1.i386.rpm

that I downloaded from

http://www.linas.org/pub/gnucash/gnucash/redhat-6.x/1.4.x/RPMS/

and it seems to be working.

I have many questions that might be in a FAQ, but I do not really find
a user FAQ.

Here is the first and, to me, probably the most important:

When I got into my directory where I keep my GnuCash database and
connected to the Internet, I tried to execute

gnc-prices JeanDavid.20010318163821.xac

but all I got is complaints:

Can't locate LWP/UserAgent.pm in @INC (@INC contains:

I tried it with gnucash running and with it not running. Sure enough,
there is no such file, not only in @INC, but anywhere on my machine,
nor is there a directory named LWP:

valinux:jdbeyer[~/GnuCash]$ locate UserAgent.pm
valinux:jdbeyer[~/GnuCash]$ locate LWP
valinux:jdbeyer[~/GnuCash]$ 

The manual page is labelled: 

GNC-PRICES(1)                 1.3.x                 GNC-PRICES(1)

and is basically silent on this and most other points. 

My perl is: perl-5.00503-10 as you can probably tell anyway from the
above.

I infer I am missing files, but do not see what they are or where to
get them. I hope someone will enlighten me.
