Yes exactly.  But it was right there in your previous email message, as
part of the error message. I assumed you noticed it :-)  Sometihing like 
main(){ xmlNew(); }

cut and paste that into a file, and try to compile it.  

what's the error message? what would you have to fix to make it go
away?
