Log files

Log files are a record of your use of Gnucash.  And yes they are only really
of interest if you are recovering from a crash.  The .xac files are backups
made when you save your work.

How long you keep them depends on how paranoid you are about being able to
reproduce what you have entered into Gnucash.  There have been a couple of
shell scripts posted to the list that remove any that are older by more than a
week from the current working file.
