gnucash 1.6.x on Solaris 7/8

Is anyone else using Gnucash 1.6.x on a Solaris 7/8 platform?

I'm having a problem with the little checkmarks used in the reconcile window
(the don't show up at all) and in the QIF import wizard and I would like to
know if it is a particular problem I am having or if it is something specific
to Gnucash on Solaris.

Please let me know.
