gnucash 1.6.1 crash under RedHat 7.1

I pulled down the RedHat rawhide RPMS and upgraded gnome to be able to
build gnucash 1.6.1.  After getting Guppi to build and install
correctly, I built and installed gnucash.  Next, I went to import a
QIF file into a completely new gnucash-data.  Everything went just
fine until the very end.  After having apparently done *all* the work
required to import all my accounts, gnucash crashed.

Any tips on what next?
