NEWBIE: can't get stock quotes

Hi,

I have just started using gnucash 1.6.2 (in Redhat 7.2 and kernel
2.4.7-10) and have a problem getting stock quotes.

I put the stock symbols into the fund accounts and indicated the
source of quotes as Fidelity. When I pressed the button to update
stock prices, I got an error message saying unable to download quotes.
I then tried the "--add-price-quotes" option at the command line to
see if I could get some more error information, but this was the result:

[oacheson@blackhole gnucash]$ gnucash --add-price-quotes owa2000.xac
gnucash: [M] "book-add-quotes failed"
gnucash: [M] "book-save failed "1
gnucash: [E] "Failed to add quotes to ""owa2000.xac"
[oacheson@blackhole gnucash]$

Can someone either interpret this for me or point me to some
documentation of this feature?
