Guile dependencies

i would give you a couple suggestions.  i have found that ximian gnome
is a very nice desktop and they have an automated software update
utility that you can use to install 1.6.  first go to ximian.com and
download the ximian gnome desktop and it should automagically install
everything, including gnucash 1.6.

the other thing has been mentioned, you might try to explicitly remove
1.3.4 before you try to install 1.4; however, you will most likely get
dependency problems.  if that is the case and you intend to install
1.4, use the --nodeps option to rpm and it will force the removal.
you may experience some problems with old packages looking for the 1.3
version but you can usually create a sym link at that point to the
lastest lib.
