How to Un-split a transaction

I'm using GnuCash 1.6.2 on SuSE 7.3.

Scenerio: I've entered a split transaction to payee xyz.
Next: I enter another transaction to payee xyz, a non-split transaction.
GnuCash wants to split the second transaction and I can't figure out how
to tell it NO.

How do I enter the second transaction as an UN-split the second
transaction?
