Hi everyone. I'm wondering who's seen behavior like this before. I get
black boxes instead of text in reports. You can see what I see at
http://ben.hartshorne.net/gnucash.jpg I recall something similar when I
upgraded X towards the end of last year, but I fixed that problem by
syncing X and font libs. I havn't used the gnucash I installed back in
september until today, so I have no idea what upgrade might have broken
it. (yeah, it took me a while to catch up... ;)=20

gnucash v1.6.1 debian woody=20

So, being curious whether it was something that was fixed between last
september and now (1.6.6 vs. 1.6.1), I upgraded. The symptoms changed a
bit -- the pie chart looks nicer, but now instead of black boxes where
there should be text, there's just nothing. See
http://ben.hartshorne.net/gnucash2.jpg for details. This time, I got a
bunch of font error messages on boot too.

** CRITICAL **: file gnome-font-face.c: line 613 (gff_load): assertion `ft_=
result =3D=3D FT_Err_Ok' failed.
** WARNING **: file gnome-font-face.c: line 308: Face Helvetica: Cannot loa=

** CRITICAL **: file gnome-font-face.c: line 613 (gff_load): assertion `ft_=
result =3D=3D FT_Err_Ok' failed.
** WARNING **: file gnome-font-face.c: line 574: Face Helvetica: Cannot loa=
d face
etc etc etc. Lots of them. So many it killed my scrollback buffer
(which isn't actually saying much, I have a small scrollback buffer)

Any suggestions?

Please Cc: me, I'm not on the gnucash-users list. Thank you!
