installing GnuCash CVS on Mandrake 9

RH8 comes with gnome2 as well and I have GNUCash running on it.  Initial
compiling of the dependancies caused problems because of gcc3.2. 
Installing the gcc compatibility labs and linking gcc to gcc296 fixed my
problems.

This may also be Mandrake's problem.
