Correct Data Entry Error in Financial Instrument?

Conrad... and all,

My problem isn't with editing the account. When I selected the 'Instrument
Select' button and got the dialog box for indicating the ticker identifier
and exchange is where I made my error. I can't seem to edit one of these
entries once it is made. My old, incorrect, entries show up in the pull-down
list and if I try to enter a new, corrected, title for one of the incorrect
entries I am rebuffed for trying to overwrite an existing entry. :^\

Thanks for a good swing Conrad, but I don't think it quite gets me on base.

Any ideas on this? As I said earlier, even if someone can direct me to the
file in which the stock and mutual fund information is held, I am not afraid
to go after it there.

Paul H.

On the account tree window (main window that opens when you first start
gnucash), there is an "Edit" button. Select the account and click that
button, and you can edit the account properties. I think that is what
you were after.
