1.6.8 Rebuild Problems

This is a problem with rpm on RH 8.0--previous versions of rpm ignored
that error.  Depending on your familiarity with RPM, you could create a
patch to work around the problem.  In src/optional, edit Makefile.in and
Makefile.am, and remove the DIST_SUBDIRS =3D swig lines.  Make a patch and
try again.  I think that should fix the problem.
