Upgrading question

1.7.5 (which is a beta test version, by the way, and 1.7.6 is available
now) will read 1.6.n files quite happily.

The reverse is not entirely true however - if you use the new features
in 1.7 (Scheduled transactions and the business stuff), then your file
will not be readable by older versions of gnucash.
