Starting gnucash

okay after hours of finding and installing depends. I finally think I 
have gnucash installed however when I try to run it from the command 
line I get the following error

gnucash: relocation error: /usr/lib/libguppi.so.13: undefined symbol: 
PyType_Type

I have no idea what the problem is I did go to /usr/lib and 
libguppi.so.13 is indeed there though its a symbolic link to 
libguppi.so.13.0.0 . Can anyone help me? I'd really like to get a change 
to use gnucash.
