What is a split?

Someone asked what a split is and I deleted the message accidentally.
Basically, a split is when, in one operation, you do multiple
transactions. For example, if you pay your phone bill, your gas bill,
your electricity bill, your Internet bill all at the same time at your
ATM, you may want to split the transaction to reflect what you actually
spent on each account. So your transaction will say that you spent $150,
say. But when you open the split, it will say, $50 for phone, 25$ for
electricity, $25 for gas, and $50 for Internet.
