I have been using gnucash 1.6.6 for a couple of weeks and see two areas
that hit the top of the wish list.

1 - check writing. I would help if it would allow the addition of the
name & address data (for using window envelopes). In addition, you
should be able to print something on the memo area. It would also be
nice to be able to define something to print on the voucher. Since one
copy of the voucher generally gets attached to the "Customer" portion of
a bill, it would be nice to be able to print the payee, account and
check amount on the voucher.

2 - Investments. When recording a purchase, the proper way to handle
commissions is to add them to the cost basis of the investment. This is
the way the IRS requires it, by the way. Then, at a sale, the correct
procedure is to deduct commissions & fees from the gross sale to arrive
at the net proceeds. It is not proper to record it as a separate
expense. It is considered part of the capital transaction.

The gnucash team is doing a great job, by the way. You've brought the
program a long way since the last time I tried it.
