gnucash 1.7.3 beta

Hi Doug,

I'm just in the process of trying to get this going.  Have gotten
gnucash compiled, but still figuring out the ofx thing. I decided to
forget about the rpm for now.  This is what I have done...

Installed Red Hat 8.0 with Gnome desktop
	(Installed development stuff for gnome)
      (Also installed gnucash 1.6)

In addition to base install

      Installed guile-devel-1.4-8.i386.rpm
	Installed libghttp-devel-1.0.9-5.i386.rpm
	Removed gnucash 1.6
	Removed installed g-wrap rpm

Downloaded
	gnucash-1.7.3.tar.gz from gnucash.org=20
	g-wrap 1.3.2.tar.gz from gnucash.org
	libofx-0.6.0.tar.gz from sourceforge.net
	OpenSP-1.5pre5.tar.gz from sourceforge.net

compiled and installed g-wrap 1.3.2
	Had to remove the -Werror flag from Makefile.in; Makefile.am, in
g-wrap  and test directories
	(Thanks to gnucash mailing list!)

Compiled and Installed OpenSP=09
=09
        configured with --prefix=3D/usr
		(This was necessary stuff I learned the hard way.  It is
mentioned in the libofx INSTALL file)

Compiled and Installed libofx as per INSTALL file
	Un grand merci a Marc pour le projet OFX!

Compiled and installed gnucash 1.7.2
	Success!
	Thanks to the gnucash development team for such a key element to
Linux  on the desktop!=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=20=
=20=20=20=20

I am running RHL 8.0, just downloaded 1.7.3-beta and tried to rpm it.=20
 This is the result:

error: Failed dependencies:
    g-wrap >=3D 1.3.2 is needed by gnucash-1.7.3-1
    libguile.so.6 is needed by gnucash-1.7.3-1
    libgwrap-glib.so.1 is needed by gnucash-1.7.3-1
    libgwrap-wct.so.1 is needed by gnucash-1.7.3-1

I know I'm a really green Linux user, but I've got to ask this question:

 Why put out an rpm that does not have all it needs for the install?  I=20
looked for rpm's for each one, and found these:

1.   g-wrap-1.1.9-1.i386.rpm
2.   guile-1.3.4-19.i386.rpm7
3.   guile-1.4-8.i386.rpm

When  I rpm #3, it tells me it's already there.  When I rpm #2 it tells=20
me there are conflicts with #3. By this time I was so discouraged I=20
didn't even try to rpm #1.

Can anyone help, please?
