SuSE 8.1 Install (digest?)

Hey, all:

I'm SLOWLY getting everything in place for a SuSE 8.1 install of 1.8 . .
. now, config is telling me it can't find gnome-configure. What package
is this part of, and where does gnucash want it to be (will the
configure switches work, if it happens to be in /opt?).

If this has already been beaten to death, can anyone just point me to
the digests or index of past posts?
