SuSE 8.2 ships with 1.8.0

I have SuSE 8.2 runnin and have tried to install 1.8.2 without success. If
you manage it, please tell me how you did it. It went well with the 8.0
version of SuSE, but I had to try the patience of this list with the new
distro :)
