Monthly view of finances

Sorry I guess I wasn't clear enough. This would be more like report 
functionality I guess.. but I was looking for some way of viewing activity 
in my accounts only for a certain month, kind of a like a delta of the 
totals view from  one month to the next. GnuCash models everything as an 
account of some sort, and I'd like to be able to see how much went to 
various expense accounts or any account rather for a given month.
