Oh, Jon and the rest of the mailing list were totally discussing an
english manual. You are openly invited to submit suggestions and patches
to improve the current help documentation/manual, if you can make it
"less check-centered".
Your point about preferred english documentation is probably valid for a
lot of non-english-speaking users. However, the generalization may not
be true for all countries. E.g. in Germany only the geeks will be happy
with an english manual, but in order to reach a *large* user base
projects will *have* to provide a German manual. Fortunately, this is
what translators are for.
So please feel free to contribute changes to the English manual. Any
translation in any different language will be handled by other people
anyway.
