As an interim suggestion, rather than list specific projects, how about a
short list of the basic skills and knowledge required/optional for the
various classes of contributor (developer, documenter, tester, database
specialist, etc)?
I'm probably not explaining this too well since it's too damn hot here today,
and my brain's melting. But the sort of thing is your mention of doxygen. I
don't know what that is, but I would guess some sort of source code
self-documenter. If I were to offer help in development, it would seem to me
necessary to know this package. So while waiting for your next report, I
might usefully spend some time learning a little about it, and other basic
requirements.
As I say, just a suggestion,
