Problem with configure to build gnucash 1.8.5

Sorry, GC = GnuCash.

LFS = Linux From Scratch ? correct?

well now you have me stumped. Again the question, Have you had GnuCash running 
before? I'm guessing no. 

My skills fail when presented with the question regarding dynamic linking. 
Maybe the Warlord will help.
