Can I use GNUCash instead of QuickBooks for *very* small business?

Can I run a *very* small business with GNUCash??

QuickBooks is the hands down winner in this niche
but I really don't want to use a non-open-source app.

Please tell me if I'm patient that I can depend
on GNUCash to do the trick.
