In the interests of saving you time, g-wrap 1.2.1 will not work with
gnucash 1.8.n. If ./configure does work, please let us know, as it
shouldn't.

I realise this doesn't help solve your problem. The only thing I can
think of (which Robert Merkel has already suggested) is to check that
libqthreads in installed and found. The libraries libdl.so and libm.so
are also used by guile, so it might pay to check them too. In all cases,
make sure that the ones used during the compile are the same ones that
are found on program execution. To track this down more, try running
under "strace".
