Get Online Updates

Thanks for the reply.
I am not sure. I have done so many things whilst trying to get GnuCash to 
install. I certainly downloaded it at some stage, and remember doing all 
sorts of cpan commands but which worked and which didn't is beyond me now.
How can I check?
