Register Report

hi, is there any way to get the register report to confine
itself to specific dates?  i looked in the options for the
report and the date options that some reports have aren't
anywhere to be found.  i also tried taking a look at
register.scm in the reports directory but it is greek to me.

thanks in advance for any and all help and thanks for a
great tool.

btw - i am running 1.8.4.
